This onboarding guide will help you get your catalog into ALLOY.
On the following pages, you’ll find everything you need, to make the process as simple as possible.

STEP-BY-STEP ONBOARDING PROCESS
STEP 01 – DOWNLOAD THE ALLOY DATA UPLOAD TEMPLATE(S).
3x CSV spreadsheets (in the correct ALLOY format) which enable you to send us your catalog & team information:
A) Catalog Metadata Upload Template [Publishing]
B) Catalog Metadata Upload Template [Recordings]
C) Sync Team Members Upload Template

STEP 02 – INPUT BASIC METADATA FOR YOUR CATALOG. (SPREADSHEET A/B)

PLEASE ONLY UPLOAD DATA FOR REPERTOIRE THAT YOU DIRECTLY CONTROL THE SYNC RIGHTS FOR.
Not all columns are mandatory, but it is important that the information you do provide, is as accurate as possible, for now at least.
STEP 03 – INPUT YOUR SYNC TEAM’S INFO. (SPREADSHEET C)
This is the information that Music Supervisors will be able to see about your team, when looking to licence one of your songs.
In a nutshell: who does what, and where they’re based.
STEP 04 - SUBMIT YOUR COMPLETED DATA TEMPLATE[S].
Once you’ve populated a spreadsheet, send it over to ALLOY’s data team.
E-mail the completed spreadsheet(s) to: hello@alloy.music
STEP 05 – YOUR INFORMATION WILL THEN BE UPLOADED INTO ALLOY.
You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your upload has been completed.
STEP 06 – RECEIVE YOUR LOGIN, AND START USING ALLOY!

FAQ
How do I upload my catalog into ALLOY?
We have a number of different options for you. The most simple way is to use our metadata upload template spreadsheet. Simply populate our template with your catalog’s (basic) metadata, and send it to us. We’ll do the rest! If you’d like to discuss our other options, just say the word!
Do I have to submit my entire catalog?
It’s completely up to you! But no, you don’t… in fact, many of our partners are choosing to only add their ‘top’ songs for now. The only thing we would say, is that the more sync relevant songs you add, the more benefit you’ll see from the platform.
What information do I need to provide to ALLOY?
The only information we need for your catalog is basic/standard metadata (e.g. Song Title, ISWC, Recording Artist, ISRC, etc.) The other information (i.e. the ‘Sync Metadata’) is 100% optional - and if you don’t provide it right now, that’s no problem! … because your sync metadata will be added / “cleaned” for you, over time :-)
What if I don’t have all of the Sync Metadata information available for my catalog?
Rest assured, many of our partners do not have this information either. Hence the problem that ALLOY is here to fix. ALLOY allows your sync metadata to be added / enhanced / ‘cleaned’ over time, by enabling you to harness the power of the global sync community!
How much does ALLOY cost?
For now, there is no cost to you for using ALLOY. You have been invited to join our private beta test phase, and as such our sole objective is to A) test the system, and B) gather your ‘real world’ feedback on how it works - and what you’d like to see added in the future.
When do I need to upload my catalog?
ALLOY’s live beta phase commences on 1st October 2025. So, we need to have your catalog (or at least a proportion of it) uploaded by then. Regrettably, the current offer cannot be held open past this date.
